Youth Strength Training for Burr Ridge Families

Burr Ridge is about ten minutes from Mighty Oak Athletic in Westmont, Plainfield Road west to Cass Avenue, and it's the town where we have the most room to grow. Burr Ridge families who train here tend to stay, often with two or three kids, but there are far fewer of them than the town's size would predict. If you're a Burr Ridge parent reading this, you're probably the first family on your block to look.

Burr Ridge is split across four elementary districts, which is why Burr Ridge kids here come from Burr Ridge Middle School (District 180), Gower Middle School (District 62), Cass Junior High (District 63), and Pleasantdale Middle (District 107), and then land at Hinsdale Central, Hinsdale South, or Lyons Township. Mighty Oak runs summer sessions for both Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South athletes and coaches several South teams, so wherever a Burr Ridge kid ends up for high school, there's already a path here.

Burr Ridge sports we see most: Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South football, volleyball, and basketball; Burr Ridge Blast softball; youth baseball and football; club soccer and volleyball; travel hockey. Teams of ten or more can book team training at $10 per athlete per session.

Questions Burr Ridge parents ask:

We're in District 180. Which high school path does Mighty Oak work with?
All of them. Mighty Oak runs summer sessions for Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South and trains Lyons Township athletes in regular sessions. Every athlete starts at Level 1 regardless of school.

Is there a Burr Ridge Blast or other program discount?
Several youth programs in the area have a Mighty Oak code for their families. Email us with the program name and we'll tell you if yours is one.

My kid has never lifted. Is 6 really old enough?
Yes. Six-year-olds train with bodyweight, light kettlebells, and an empty bar, and the readiness test is simple: can they follow directions for an hour?

How do we get there from Burr Ridge?
Plainfield Road west to Cass Avenue, turn north. Belle Tire is on the right; we're in the back of the brown building just north of it. About ten minutes, parking right outside the door.

Hours, pricing, and programs are the same for every town — see mightyoakathletic.com/facts. Every new athlete's first session is free: a 60-minute coached session, a training shirt to keep, and a parent debrief. Book it here: https://calendly.com/mightyoakathletic/youth-strength
